Milford Garden Walk

Dear Lolas,
On Friday August and I went on the Milford Garden Tour. It was very good indeed and we were quite inspired. The last time we took the tour the gardens were all in, or very close to Milford. This time we had to drive to almost every house and one was quite far north of M59. If I could offer advice to the organizers I would say, don't have the gardens too far apart, offer at least iced water to the visitors and do not allow participants to sell food. Other than that I can say we had a most enjoyable afternoon.

I found out about the garden tour quite by accident a couple days earlier. There are so many things going on in Milford I wish I knew more about them.

Hi Noreen,
I'm glad you and August had a nice garden walk! I know what you mean about being so close to Milford and yet because it's in a different county and you may not get the Milford Times, you're not getting the info about the great activities! I wonder if our Milford friends would either blog or send an e-mail around when a wonderful event is happening?
I stopped at West Hickory Haven on my way home on Friday and found out that Anna Lockwood, a long time resident of the nursing home and whom I used to visit, had died a couple months ago. The death notice was in the Milford Times but not my local paper so I missed it. I felt very sad about that.

Thanks for blogging!
Love,
Mares
